The reason I love this book so much is not only that I like Jane Austen's writing style, but there is laughter in the book - a lot of the quirky sayings from the characters are so true and Jane puts across the point in a very humorous manner.
I also like the romantic side of the story and of course the happy ending :-)
There are a lot of good, relevant quotations which are timeless eg:
“I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.” ― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
“I have not the pleasure of understanding you.” ― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

And this one is my personal favourite:
"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.” ― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
I preferred to BBC drama adaptation of the book to the film made in 2005 - probably because the actors seemed to play the characters so much better and of course Mr Darcy was the very handsome Colin Firth! Below is a link to information about the BBC Drama:
